It's been a while...

Hey friends, it's Max.

Sorry for being so quiet over here and in general.

The last 12 months haven't been my best, both physically and mentally.

Talking about these struggles and coping with them hasn't been easy.

Regarding physical health, 2023 was my best year for endurance and athletic performance. Then last year came, and my immune system steadily weakened.

I found myself getting sick at least once a month, making it impossible to properly train for races.

I lost all hope and my passion for running.

During this time, I also had to move out of my apartment and back home for the summer (last year in July).

My plan was to isolate myself over the summer, focus entirely on monetizing one skillset (photography and videography), and gradually return to a solid sports routine.

However, I neither focused on my freelancing career nor resumed training.

My declining health triggered a downward spiral, severely affecting my mood and motivation—making it impossible to maintain work discipline.

As my health deteriorated and I moved back home, my social media being suffered too. I lost my creative spark.

I never felt comfortable filming in my parents' home. For some reason, I didn't want to share everything, which ultimately led to me stopping posting altogether.

At that time, social media was my primary income source.

So I essentially let my business slowly fade away... not my smartest business decision.

I also didn't commit to freelancing as I had planned.

Instead, I took on occasional freelance projects to stay afloat financially.

Fast forward to now (End of March 2025), I'm steadily improving. I've adjusted my supplements and plan to do a water fast soon to completely reset my body.

Why? Because I believe the root cause of all my health issues—immune system and skin problems included—lies in my gut and digestive system.

I'm curious if any of you face similar challenges and how you're addressing them...

The business side is improving, though I still catch myself trying to juggle too many projects simultaneously.

I'm working on getting my social media to where it once was. I want to focus more on storytelling and share more insights into my life and challenges. I'm also continuing with freelancing, but I'm being selective about projects to maintain a creative outlet. Since late 2023, I've been building a community-first brand that began with friends making shirts and has evolved into hosting events across Europe.

It's still amazing to me how all this happened in 2024.

Anyway, my main priorities right now are:

  • making my health bulletproof again

  • scaling my income streams (focus on few but better)

  • build SSC further, hopefully being able to pay ourselves a salary by EOY and opening our first third space

  • have fun with creating content again

  • fall back in love with running

I know that's quite a lot of priorities to juggle.

But with the right system and willpower, I believe it's achievable.

Alright, enough talking—time to focus! Got big events coming up this weekend and lots to prepare.

See you soon,

Max
